CBV Collections - rogue agent

I spoke with Bob Richards, Executive VP of CBV collections and Gary Sandhu, Office Manager regarding their rogue agent Michael Day. They were under the impression that Michael Day was a saint and that he would NEVER scream at my 11 year old daughter. I truly hope they're going to investigate the situation.

I was under the impression that the senior management was going to protect the rogue agent and his behaviour. This means that the only way you're going to get any results from a collection agency is to complain to the local Ministry of Justice.

Credit Repair in Canada is new

I have enjoyed a successful career in business over the last many years.
One of the most frustrating things I've had to do is work with the government in order to affect some changes for my clients.

Things move at a glacial pace. It seems like a mammoth effort to get a small accomplishment.

Oh well, I'm in it for the long haul and am ready to take on what ever to make credit repair in Canada work.

The credit bureaus have been way too powerful for far too long. Canadians are suffering because of it.

Collection Agent screamed at my 11 yr old daughter

Last week, a collection agent, Michael Day, from CBV Collection services Ltd screamed at my 11 year old daughter.

He wasn't collecting money from me. He was terrorizing me because I dispute items with collection agencies.

Here's the problem. Minstry of Justice - Consumer protection can't do anything for me because it's not against the law for collection agents to scream at 11 year old girls.

So... what do we do now? I guess all I can do is give CBV and all collection agencies bad press because of their poor professional behaviour. It would be nice if they apologized to my 11 year old daughter for making her cry and threatening her.

Signature required to order credit reports?

In many cases we've tried to order our client's credit reports from Equifax and TransUnion.

Ordering your credit report.
TransUnion is saying that they need a signature by the person on the document ordering the credit report by mail.

This means that if you don't sign the credit repair order letter, you won't get your credit report from TransUnion.

TransUnion is saying that your signature is part of personal identification.
We're saying that it isn't. If you give out your personal signature, this could be used for fraudulent purposes.

Meeting with Justice Critic Don Morgan - SK

I met with Don Morgan - Justice Critic today. We talked about the Credit Repair industry and issues in Saskatchewan. He was nice and friendly. I liked the fact that his job is about criticizing current legislation.

The problem we're having is that the legislation that we've got in Canada is not well understood by both the government and the consumer. Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada are very powerful because of this fact.

What I hoped to do today was start a dialog with the Justice Critic's office and hope that he understands our problems. I had 30 minutes to describe a host of problems.

FYI... I've met with the Attorney General - Frank Quennell in Saskatchewan regarding this problem. The government isn't taking the credit repair issue seriously. It's because of lack of education on the situation.

The more people that complain about the issues, the more seriously the government will take the problem.

Please complain to the government about your credit reporting issues in Canada.

I hope not to offend

I have a reasonable amount of problems with credit bureaus, collection agencies, creditors and governments in Canada. This blog is going to discuss the problems that I'm having. It should be therapeutic for me, and a learning experience for the reader.

My intention is to make Canadians aware of the problems that we're having using the internet tools available to us.
